We set a high priority on continuity. We discuss the types of personalities you are comfortable with and strive to match you with a person or people you are happy with.
When we interview, we look for a warm and caring nature, good communication skills, practicality and common sense, and a history of dependability. All candidates are carefully screened and interviewed. We conduct reference and security checks early in our on-boarding process and training ensures that everyone meets our standards of care.
Our Caregivers go through the CARE (Changing Aging through Research and Education) training program created by leaders in the geriatric field, Dr. Amy D’Prix and David Troxel. This training combined with individual orientation for our Caregivers with each client by our Registered Nurses allows us to manage the unique nuances associated with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, Parkinson’s, hospital discharges, palliative care, and other scenarios.
